Google Maps has long been ane of the almost comprehensive online map applications and is a very popular tool for tasks such as getting directions and finding local attractions. While nigh users empathise the basic functions of Google Maps, some additional features were introduced through "My Maps", a customization and personalization tool released in 2007. Among the new features introduced with My Maps is the Line Tool, which allows users to depict lines directly on Google Maps and relieve them to ship to other people.
Navigate to Google Maps and log in to your Google account. You will need an business relationship in order to access My Maps. If you practise not have an account, you can register for free to obtain ane.
On the left side of the map, click on the link titled "My Maps" to open up up the customized map making menus. And so click the "Create a New Map" button.
Create a title and add together a description for your map in the fields on the left side menu. Choose whether or non you want your map to be publicly shared or individual, and mark the bank check box accordingly.
Click on the Line Tool, denoted by a zig-zag line icon at the top-left corner of the map. On your map, click on a point to brainstorm drawing your lines. Y'all can continue clicking to add more points to the line.
Double-click a point on your map to stop the line creation tool.
